When your ball is on a closely mown area (fairway and tees) you can take a preferred lie

You can clean and then place the ball within 6 inches of it's original position and not nearer the hole

Good idea to use a tee peg to show original position of the ball before you pick it up

If the ball is plugged on the fairway you can have a free drop as near as possible to the plug mark, not nearer the hole 

You must drop a ball off all winter greens at nearest point of relief

Keep trolleys outside the  white lines around the greens and off temporary greens
